Acetal is a high strength, low friction
plastic that has excellent wear properties in wet and dry environments. It
has food dimensional stability and machining.
Delrin® Homopolymer has superior
room temperature strength, stiffness and toughness. Low moisture absorbtion and
good chemical resistance, especially to gasoline and solvents.
Copolymer acetal has better
perfromance in high heat and hot water applications. It also has less
porosity for machining.
- Delrin® Meets ASTM D6778 ( superceeds ASTM
D4181 )
- Acetron® is FDA/USDA/NSF/3A Dairy Approved,
has continuous-use temperature of 180° F, and is porosity free.
